Position summary

The research assistant will check such things as bibliographic references, formatting, Scripture references, and/or cross-references in a theological work on the Adventist understanding of death. Applicant must be a qualified, full-time student at Andrews University.

Qualifications summary

Applicant must have superior communication skills, with an avid interest in scholarship and book production. This position involves a commitment that must be consistently kept in addition to academic pursuits.

Qualifications

• Avid interest in book production


• High level of attention to detail and quality of work


• Superior communication skills


• Detail-oriented and organized


• Knowledge of the rules of English grammar


• Ability to spend long periods of time on a single task


• Reliability and dependability in meeting a consistent agreed-upon schedule while classes are in session

Technical competencies

Experience with track changes in Microsoft Word

Interpersonal interactions

Must be able to work collegially in an office setting with other immediate associates
