Position summary
We are looking for a dedicated and responsible worker to assist in our Early Childhood Education Center Office for 10-15 hours per week. Hours are flexible.
We will provide all work trainings, background check, finger printing, and CPR/First Aid training that are required for the job. Job requirements include processing payments, submitting data to the State of Michigan, answering phone calls, assisting Director, light office cleaning, assisting parents and teachers, data entry and maintaining physical records of children and staff.
Must be a student of Andrews University.

- Prompt and dependable.
- Accuracy, common sense and efficiency is required
Duties and responsibilities
- Must be able to sit in an office chair for the duration of assigned shift
- Must be able to complete work on a computer
- Must be able to do light lifting (e.g. trash, books)
- Must be able to do light cleaning (e.g. vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, etc.)
- Must be able to keep focus in a loud and active office with many distractions

Technical competencies
The employee must be able to operate, at a reasonable level of competency, computer, copy machine, paper cutter, VCR/DVD player, telephone, scanner, and tools such as brooms, dust pans, mops, vacuums, snow shovels etc.
Willing to learn center specific software and websites.

Physical demands
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting,
carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent climbing and balancing; significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and
significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 5% sitting, 25% walking, and 70% standing. The job is performed under
some temperature extremes and under conditions with some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness.
Work environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
