Position summary
The student marketing assistant focuses on supporting departmental marketing activities and assisting the Engagement Officer in promotion and development functions for the Office of Planned Giving & Trust Services.

Duties and responsibilities
Assist the Engagement Officer with the following:
· Social media outreach
· Photography/videography of campus events
· Email outreach and newsletter development
· Advertisement and brochure design
· Maintain social media presence and other donor-engagement vehicles
· Other office duties as needed
Supervisory responsibilities
None
Qualifications
· Prior experience with marketing and promotional efforts preferred
· Social media marketing experience with Instagram and Facebook
· Graphic design experience preferred
· Good writing and editing skills
Technical competencies
· Able to navigate various social media sites
· Familiarity with Canva or similar design tools
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel
Interpersonal interactions
Must be comfortable working with professionals as well as students, both in person and in written communication.
Physical demands
Must be able to sit and use computer in normal office setting, as well as move throughout the department and around campus for special assignments.
Work environment
Job is primarily conducted in an office setting, with occasional work around campus.
