Position summary
The Video Producer for the Center of Faith Engagement is responsible for creating engaging, high-quality video content to support weekly chapel services and ongoing ministry initiatives. This role oversees the full production process for chapel advertisements, including planning, filming early in the week, editing, and delivering finalized videos for presentation each Thursday.
6 hours a week.
Qualifications summary
The Student Video Producer should be skilled in operating cameras, basic lighting, and video editing software to create high-quality content. The candidate must be organized, dependable, and able to manage time effectively to meet weekly Thursday chapel deadlines. Strong attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are essential. Prior experience in video production and a willingness to support additional projects for the Center of Faith Engagement are preferred.

Duties and responsibilities

Plan, film, and edit weekly chapel advertisement videos, ensuring all content is completed and delivered in time for Thursday services.

Collaborate with Chaplain Jacob Gibbs and Center of Faith Engagement staff to develop creative video content that supports events, initiatives, and ministry goals.

Manage video equipment, production schedules, and post-production workflows while maintaining quality standards and meeting established deadlines.

Execute Campus faith-culture projects in support of wider campus culture initiatives

Assist in Center for Faith Engagement initiatives in a mutually supportive manner (events include Week of Prayer, Fellowships, Engage Summits, and others as needed)
Supervisory responsibilities
This position reports directly to Chaplain Jacob Gibbs and does not have direct supervisory responsibilities. The Student Video Producer will collaborate closely with Chaplain Gibbs and Center of Faith Engagement staff to plan, produce, and deliver weekly chapel advertisements and additional video projects. The role requires consistent communication, responsiveness to feedback, and accountability for meeting established deadlines and production standards.
Qualifications

Must be a student in good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 2.5
- NOTE: This individual must be available Aug. 10 - 15, 2025 for the required CFE Student Chaplain Retreat
Technical competencies
- Proficiency in operating video cameras and basic lighting equipment to capture high-quality footage.
- Experience with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar platforms).
- Ability to manage audio recording, basic sound setup, and post-production adjustments.
- Understanding of video formatting, exporting, and file management for live presentation and digital platforms.
- Strong organizational skills in managing digital assets, project timelines, and production workflows.
