Second Sunday Concert: HMS Pinafore

Second Sunday Concert Series of January is the HMS Pinafore presented by Topics in Opera class

Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009 at 8 p.m.

The Andrews University Department of Music presents the operetta "H. M. S. Pinafore" by Gilbert and Sullivan for two performances in the Howard Performing Arts Center. This comic opera, the fourth collaboration between Gilbert and Sullivan, centers on a naval captain's daughter who has fallen in love with a common sailor. Her father, however, has intentions to see her marry the First Lord of the Admiralty. There are bound to be surprises looming around the corner in this delightful musical.
