Obituary for Mary Jane Cunnington

Mary Jane Cunnington, 97, a long-time resident of Berrien Springs, died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2020, at the Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville.

Born Aug. 15, 1922, Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She worked for Andrews University as a hostess in the lounge and later in the cafeteria in the student center. After her retirement from the cafeteria, she worked in the University bookstore until the age of 90.

Mary loved her family and creating a beautiful home. She also loved her many friends. She was generous and expressed her deep Christian beliefs by helping many people.

She is survived by her daughter, Penny Sisson; son, Loren Cunnington; grandchildren—Angelique Webb, Audie Sisson, Lance Cunnington and Loren Cunnington II; and five grandchildren—Anneliese, Valary, Avelina, Vedalee and Liam.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Jan. 11, at the Village Seventh-day Adventist Church in Berrien Springs. Online messages and memories may be shared at allredfuneralhome.com.
