Ellen White Issues Symposium 2025

Mark your calendar and join us for the virtual Ellen G. White Issues Symposium sponsored by the Center for Adventist Research, the Ellen G. White Estate Branch Office and the Seminary Department of Church History. It will be held on Monday, March 31, 2025, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. The purpose of this symposium is to break new ground in understanding Ellen White and issues relating to her life, ministry and prophetic gift that have current importance.
Papers will be presented with a prepared response. There will be an opportunity to submit questions relating to Ellen White and current issues, which will be debated at the afternoon panel discussion. The published presentations from previous symposiums are available for purchase on the Center’s website.
The speakers this year are Dan-Adrian Petre, PhD, coordinator of the Adventus Center for Adventist Studies at Adventus University in Romania; Alberto Tasso Barros, PhD student at Andrews University and professor of religion at the Adventist School of Theology at UNASP, Brazil; Wendy Jackson, PhD, head of the Avondale Seminary, senior lecturer in theology and commissioned pastor; Eric Louw, PhD candidate in Adventist studies at the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary, Andrews University; Terrie Dopp Aamodt, PhD (Boston University), professor emerita of history at Walla Walla University; and Jared Martin, MA, the senior pastor of Coastlife Seventh-day Adventist Church in Queensland, Australia.
