The theme of the day-long training, “AI and Math Instruction,” began with a devotional by Anthony Bosman, PhD, exploring what the Bible has to say about AI followed by an exploration into The Mathematics of Thinking Machines. Another presenter explored how artificial intelligence can support teachers and students by “harnessing the potential of AI to make math instruction more manageable while fostering meaning that builds on mathematical concepts for increased learning,” Ruth Horton, Lake Union education director, said. “Teachers are constantly scaffolding for students at multiple levels. According to Renette Portecop-Prentice, assistant professor and School Psychology Program coordinator at Andrews, these funds will be primarily used to establish an online version of the University's school psychology programming. Andrews University climbed 31 places in this year’s 2026 U.S. News Best Colleges ranking and is now placed among the top 250 national universities in America. This continues the University’s upward movement, having risen 43 places in 2024 from the year prior.
