When students do not have regular access to nutritious meals, stress, anxiety and depression often follow along with the harmful effects of inadequate nutrition. Persistent uncertainty of eating a meal affects their emotional well-being and may lead to feelings of shame or isolation. Consider that poor mental health can make it more difficult for students to manage resources, maintain employment or seek assistance—creating a cycle that perpetuates food insecurity. Supporting food security is a powerful way to promote mental wellness in our campus and community.</div> <div>  </div> <div> Andrews University cares for the WHOLE person. Faith communities often play a key role in recognizing warning signs and offering guidance. By fostering open conversations about mental health, faith communities can create a compassionate environment where individuals feel safe to seek help.
