Pastor Shepherd continues his series on the parables of Jesus with a sermon titled, "Give Me Oil in My Lamp." Preparation for the Second Coming of Jesus is serious business. We do well to learn the lesson from the parable of the 10 virgins. The church service begins at 9:30 a.m. followed by Sabbath School at 11 a.m. A fellowship meal follows the service. We have to pay the price for our faithfulness to our God, but paying the price for not being faithful is much more expensive. Hannahiah, Mishael and Azariah knew that well and made their choice: if they stayed faithful to God, the worst outcome was losing their own lives. But if they did not stay faithful to their God, the price was losing eternal life. They made their choice back then; we are to make ours today.
