With the only ways of travel in this region being by boat or plane, an aircraft can turn a 20 hour boat trip into a one hour flight, performing life-saving medical evacuations and carrying the gospel to areas that would otherwise go unreached. Amongst the thousands of miles of winding river systems in an area of lush rainforest that has no roads and is larger than the states of Michigan, Indian and Ohio combined, there are over 3,000 native communities where the gospel needs to be preached. This area is so vast and difficult to move through that the local church doesn't have the manpower or funding necessary in order to reach these people groups, and so they stay in the large cities. That's where Peru Projects steps in.

Since 1997, Peru Projects has been working among communities that are difficult to access in the Peruvian jungle, training and sending Bible workers to live within these remote areas, where they can work with the people, share the good news of the gospel and transform lives. One of our main tools in supporting our Bible workers and reaching people is aviation. The aircraft is our tool in not only reaching people more quickly, but it also opens doors that would never be opened otherwise, such as service through medical evacuations, which shows our care for them physically, and occasionally flying cargo, which demonstrates our attention to their needs. The flying of patients and cargo into and out of communities provides the avenue to people's hearts, which allows them to be receptive to us flying Bible workers and spiritual materials into places that would never have them otherwise. But we have found that the need for aviation is larger than we can currently meet.

Up to this point, Peru Projects has been working with two aircraft, a Cessna 182G and a Lake Renegade 250, but we are excited to announce that with the help of AngelOne, an Adventist mission support organization, we have been able to obtain another aircraft, a Cessna 182E, N9203X. When looking for a place to prepare this newest aircraft to our fleet, the Andrews University Airpark graciously opened their hangar doors for us to both store and modify the aircraft throughout this summer. Without the hangar space provided by Andrews University, it would have been much more difficult and expensive to have prepared our aircraft for the jungle environment in which it is about to serve. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank the University for the many blessings which they have provided and pray that the work of the gospel is able to move forward more efficiently for many years to come, thanks to the service that this aircraft is going to give.

To stay connected, follow us on:

www.facebook.com/peruprojects

www.instagram.com/peru_projects

The Peru Projects story:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fndU9x5brKk
Wed, 27 Aug 2025 16:32:51 +0000 Dining Services: 2025-2026 School Year Hours http://www.andrews.edu/agenda/67635
Please find attached the Dining Services hours of operation for the 2024–2025 school year, beginning Friday, Aug. 15.

To see the current menus, visit the Bon Appétit website.
Thu, 21 Aug 2025 10:57:50 +0000 Pre-Purchase Sabbath Meals Through Dining Services http://www.andrews.edu/agenda/67202
Please see the link below that individuals can use to pre-purchase Sabbath meals:

https://vault.andrews.edu/audining/sabbath/meals.

This information is intended for all visitors who wish to prepay for their Sabbath meal.
