Their product provides real-time transcription of spoken words on screen or in your field of view, tailored to your preference.</p> <div> Hearsight was inspired by a simple, powerful idea: bringing subtitles off the screen and into real life.&nbsp; Danny, a co-founder of Hearsight, witnessed a close friend struggle with lip-reading during the pandemic due to widespread mask-wearing. While watching a movie with subtitles, Danny thought, &quot; Why can't we bring these subtitles into real life?&quot;</div> <div> &nbsp;</div> <div> Danny met co-founder Riley Ellingsen in a technology entrepreneurship program at the University of Notre Dame, where they were called to be forces for good in the world. Here, Hearsight was born.</div> <div> &nbsp;</div> <div> Since then, Hearsight has built a community of d/Deaf and hard-of-hearing supporters, partners, testers and users who have helped inform and refine the technology.
