Andrews Webinar: "Eine Kleine Quarentinemusik"
"Eine Kleine Quarentinemusik" (A Little Quarantine Music)
Wed, April 29, 2020 @ 04:00 pm - 05:00 pm
Join us on Wednesday, April 29, at 4 p.m. EST for a mini-concert, "Eine Kleine Quarentinemusik (A Little Quarantine Music)," presented by violinist Simon Luke Brown (BMUS, sophomore).
American violinist, composer and conductor Simon Luke Brown is a 20-year old sophomore at Andrews University, studying violin performance. Beginning violin at the age of four, his parents saw to it that practice became routine, much to his disgust at the time. At age 12, however, he discovered his passion for music and currently studies with Carla Trynchuk.
He has been soloist with the Oklahoma City Philharmonic, Concertmaster of the Oklahoma Youth Orchestra, Andrews University Symphony Orchestra, and the Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute, a composition student of Jerod Tate, a violist in a college string quartet, a conducting pupil of Miguel Harth-Bedoya, a two-time member of the National Youth Orchestra of the USA, was accepted into the Aspen Music Festival and School and played with the Prague Summer Nights Festival in 2019. Brown plans to study violin, composition and conducting in graduate school and make his mark in all three.
