Week of Prayer will take place from Jan. 26–30 with the theme “Unburdened.” In Christ, it is our privilege to live with a clear conscience, free from the burden of guilt and from the burden of bitterness.

The speaker for the week will be Kessia Reyne Bennett, lead pastor of Pleasant Valley Church in Oregon. Previously, she has served as a pastor at College View Church and Paw Paw Adventist Church as well as a chaplain at Southern Adventist University. While a student at Andrews, she served as a dorm chaplain, improv team leader and MDiv student. Outside of ministry, she enjoys poetry, exploring trails and discovering new music.

Morning Chapel Services
Pioneer Memorial Church (PMC) Sanctuary
11:30 a.m.–12:20 p.m.

Chapel credit will be given for each morning presentation. A modified class schedule will be in effect during the mornings.

Monday: "Forgiven/Forgiving"
Most of the pain we live with is misidentified and is actually rooted in our burdened consciences. Live forgiven; live forgiving; live free.

Tuesday: "Clear Eyes"
We need a clear vision of the character of Christ so we can have a clear vision of Christ in us (a.k.a. holiness).

Wednesday: "No Bitter Root"
Unforgiveness is a pervasive source of pain and sin in human lives. Christ will remove that bitter root from the heart.

Thursday: "Counting the Cost, Paying the Price"
To forgive others requires facing the losses we've incurred and then finding our repair in Christ.

Friday Morning: "Forgiving Myself"
Often the person we’re least ready to forgive is ourselves. But in Christ, by faith, we allow His verdict to overturn our own.
