Social Innovation Award Part of Pitch Competition
Social Innovation Award will be distributed through the Pitch Competition

MA Leadership in Social Innovation from the Department of Leadership is sponsoring the Social Innovation Award—$10,000 seed grants for innovation projects to be distributed to teams participating in the 2023 Andrews University Pitch Competition.
The Social Innovation Award is in addition to the already $30,000 cash awards that will be distributed through the Pitch Competition. This Award has been made possible by the Fred Upton Foundation.
Two (2) teams will receive a $5,000 seed matching grant to initiate their social innovation project in Berrien County communities. The grant must be enhanced by matching funds and gifts-in-kind from other sources.
The grants will be allocated to projects in Berrien County communities that meet one of the category requirements below:

Social Entrepreneurship—to explore business opportunities that positively impact the communities in Berrien County.

Social Advocacy—seeks to ensure that all people in the communities can have their voices heard.

Social Services—individual and community development and transformative changes in physical, mental and social needs.
