Virtual Ellen G. White Issues Symposium, April 1, 2024
Mark your calendar and join us for the virtual Ellen G. White Issues Symposium, sponsored by the Center for Adventist Research, the Ellen G. White Estate Branch Office, and the Department of Church History. It will be held on Monday, April 1, 2024, from 9 a.m.–5 p.m. The purpose of this symposium is to break new ground in understanding Ellen White and issues relating to her life, ministry and prophetic gift.
Papers will be presented with a prepared response. There will be an opportunity to submit questions relating to Ellen White and current issues, and as many of these questions as time allows will be debated at the afternoon panel discussion.
The speakers this year are Mark Pearce, PhD cand., director of the Ellen G. White/Seventh-day Adventist Research Centre at Avondale University in Cooranbong, Australia; James Mutua, PhD, director of the Ellen G. White Research Centre and a lecturer in the Department of Theology and Religious Studies at the University of Eastern Africa, Baraton, Kenya; Ingram R. London, PhD cand., assistant professor of systematic theology and ethics at Oakwood University, School of Theology in Huntsville, AL; Esther Louw, MA student, originally from Australia; Tim Poirier, MTS, vice-director and archivist of the Ellen G. White Estate at the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists; and Gerson C. Rodrigues, PhD, professor and director of the Ellen G. White Research Center in Northeast Brazil College.
There is no charge for attending the symposium, and registration is not necessary.
