The Office of Student Involvement, Leadership & Activities (SILA) at Andrews University will host its annual Winter Wonderland from Dec. 1-11, 2025. Pop-up activities and booths, mainly in the Campus Center, will provide students with comfort and entertainment.

Spaces within the campus center and/or the general campus, as well as materials provided by SILA, will be used to enhance holiday cheer and provide students with relief during the final exam period. Pop-ups will occur during Winter Wonderland and could include cookie decorating, a ramen bar, ornament and Christmas stocking making. Each pop-up will also include a ballot box for students to enter giveaways. Prizes available include a sunset lamp, a travel thermos, a diffuser with peppermint oil, a heated blanket and miscellaneous treats. At the end of the week, SILA will randomly choose names and notify winners.

With SILA’s Winter Wonderland being held annually, the team needs to ensure that the events and prizes are not the same so that each year can be special. “The main thing we do differently from past years is that we change and shift different events based on what students need. Something I noticed is that there are a lot of students who just don’t have winter gear. Thus, some of our pop-ups will include winter gear such as beanies, gloves, socks, hand warmers, and ice scrapers,” says Dean Darius Bridges, the Assistant Dean for SILA.

“The SILA team is hoping to curate events that encourage holiday cheer and provide relief from the exam week rush. We hope both graduate and undergraduate students come out and enjoy what we have in store for the holidays!” says Timi Olatunde, SILA student experience coordinator and junior biochemistry pre-med major.
