Bernard-Fisher received her doctorate in counseling psychology from Andrews University and completed a clinical psychology internship at Mercy Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Her training also included a pre-doctoral internship and a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Notre Dame, where she functioned as staff psychologist at the University Counseling Center. She is a fully licensed psychologist in the state of Michigan.
Bernard-Fisher has a strong commitment to helping individuals realize their potential. Her areas of clinical interest include depression, anxiety, eating disorders, self-esteem and career issues. She also enjoys couples and group therapy.
Her multicultural background and fluency in French and Spanish have provided her with a deeper understanding of diversity issues. She enjoys outreach and consultative opportunities in areas of cultural diversity, family mental health, grief and anger management, achievement and motivation.
